The Pure Blue Filtration CTO (Carbon Block) Filter Cartridge is designed to provide advanced filtration by reducing chlorine, unpleasant tastes, odours, sediment, and fine particles from your water supply.
Manufactured using compressed activated carbon, CTO filters offer finer filtration than standard GAC cartridges while maintaining excellent flow rates for residential and whole-house water treatment systems.
Commonly installed after a sediment filter and GAC filter, the CTO cartridge acts as the final polishing stage before water reaches your taps or UV sterilisation system.

How It Works
A CTO (Carbon Block) filter is made from finely compressed activated carbon that forms a dense filtration block. As water passes through the carbon block, contaminants are trapped within the filter while chlorine, tastes, odours, and organic compounds are adsorbed onto the carbon surface.
The compressed design allows the cartridge to provide both chemical reduction and fine particle filtration in a single stage, making it an excellent final filter before UV sterilisation or household use.
