  • 55 Watt UV Lamp - PBFUV-55w
    UV Replacement Lamp

Powerful UV Disinfection for Safe Drinking Water

The Pure Blue Filtration UV Replacement Lamp is designed to provide effective ultraviolet disinfection by neutralising harmful microorganisms commonly found in untreated water supplies. Installed inside a UV sterilisation chamber, the lamp emits UV-C light that disrupts the DNA of bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens, preventing them from reproducing and ensuring safer water for your home or business.

UV treatment is a chemical-free solution that disinfects water without altering its taste, odour, or mineral content. It is commonly used as the final stage in a whole-house filtration system after sediment and carbon filtration.

    Key Benefits

Eliminates up to 99.99% of harmful microorganisms

    Chemical-free water treatment

Maintains natural taste and mineral content

Provides continuous protection against bacteria and viruses

Ideal for rainwater, bore water, rural supplies, and untreated water sources

    Easy replacement and maintenance

    Applications

    Rainwater harvesting systems
    Bore and well water treatment
    Rural and lifestyle properties
    Whole-house filtration systems
    Commercial water treatment systems

    Recommended Maintenance

For optimal performance, UV lamps should typically be replaced every 12 months, even if the lamp continues to illuminate. Over time, UV output decreases, reducing disinfection effectiveness.

    Compatible With

Pure Blue Filtration UV Sterilisation Systems and most standard UV water treatment units.

  • Quartz Sleeve Replacement - UV Glass Tube
    UV Quartz Sleeve (Quartz Tube)

Protecting Your UV Lamp for Maximum Performance

The Pure Blue Filtration UV Quartz Sleeve is a high-quality, precision-manufactured quartz tube designed to protect the UV lamp inside your water sterilisation system while allowing maximum ultraviolet light transmission.

The quartz sleeve acts as a barrier between the UV lamp and the water flowing through the sterilisation chamber. Its specialised quartz construction allows UV-C light to pass through with minimal loss of intensity, ensuring effective disinfection while protecting the lamp from direct contact with water.

Over time, mineral deposits, iron staining, and water contaminants can build up on the sleeve surface, reducing UV effectiveness. Regular inspection and replacement help maintain peak system performance and ensure reliable water treatment.

    Key Benefits

High UV-C light transmission for maximum disinfection efficiency

Protects the UV lamp from direct water contact

    Manufactured from high-purity quartz glass

Resistant to thermal shock and temperature fluctuations

Improves UV system reliability and lifespan

    Easy to clean and replace

    Applications

    Whole-house UV water treatment systems
    Rainwater filtration systems
    Bore water treatment systems
Rural and lifestyle block water supplies
    Commercial UV sterilisation systems

    Why the Quartz Sleeve Matters

Even the most powerful UV lamp cannot operate effectively if UV light is blocked by scale, iron deposits, or damaged quartz. A clean, undamaged quartz sleeve ensures the maximum amount of UV energy reaches the water, providing consistent protection against bacteria, viruses, and other harmful microorganisms.

    Recommended Maintenance

Inspect the quartz sleeve during every UV lamp replacement. Clean regularly if water contains hardness, iron, manganese, or sediment. Replace immediately if cracked, scratched, or permanently stained.

    Compatible With

Pure Blue Filtration UV Sterilisation Systems and most standard UV water treatment units using quartz sleeve technology.

    Cleaning Procedure

Turn off power to the UV unit.
    Isolate and depressurise the system.
    Remove the UV lamp.
    Carefully remove the quartz sleeve.
Wipe the sleeve with a soft, lint-free cloth.
For mineral deposits, soak or wipe with:
White vinegar, or a citric acid solution
    Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

    Inspect for:

    Cracks
    Chips
    Scratches
    Permanent staining

Reinstall using new O-rings if required.

    Important
❌ Do not use abrasive pads or steel wool.
❌ Do not use harsh chemicals that may damage the quartz.
❌ Never touch the UV lamp glass with bare fingers when reinstalling.

    When to Replace

    Replace the quartz sleeve if:
    It is cracked or chipped.
    It has deep scratches.
Iron or mineral staining cannot be removed.
    UV performance has been compromised.
